Our low cost, maintenance friendly L weld sight glasses feature larger viewing window diameters than ANSI flanges of comparable overall sizes. This design features our proprietary glass sidewall sealing mechanism that provides the following advantages.
•
Larger view for the given size of weld body compared to ANSI flange diameters.
•
Lower cost for a given window size due to the smaller body size.
•
Easy maintenanceIt is impossible to crush the glass window by over-torqueing the flange
bolts.
•
Excellent sealingThe proprietary sidewall seal will hold through many thermal cycles and
pressure cycles.
These windows can handle temperatures ranging from cryogenic range to over 450F (232C), and pressures ranging from full vacuum to 150 PSIG. If your temperature and pressure requirements exceed these values, please look at our Model B Weld
Our more popular L weld configurations carry Factory Mutual (FM) approvals and Canadian Registration Numbers (CRN). Our manufacturing processes are audited by third parties according to FM, TUV, and Canadian Standards Association requirements.
